David has received a Highly Commended award in the prestigious Nature Photographer of the Year for his Arctic Fox image, Caught In a Blizzard, which was taken in the far north-west of Iceland.
The image, which shows a blue morph Arctic Fox struggling during a brutal winter storm, won the prize at the online awards ceremony in the Netherlands.
More than 19,000 images from 95 countries took part in the 2020 Nature Photographer of the Year, which is a favourite competition among professional wildlife photographers.
David said: "I am hugely honoured to have won in what is one of the world's most prestigious competitions for wildlife photography. It is four years since I began to visit the remote Hornstrandir nature reserve in Iceland during winter and to finally have an image recognised like this is a great moment".
